Recovered Expedition Report
The Account
We met him above the tree line.
He was larger than expected and considerably less interested in our scientific equipment than in the bag of provisions Shaw had been carrying.
A trade was proposed.
No words were exchanged, but the terms became clear enough.
What we received in return were almonds wrapped in dark chocolate, rich enough for the cold and good enough to delay our descent by nearly an hour.
We left with the recipe.
He kept the empty bag.
Both parties appeared satisfied.
